XBMC (Frodo) compilation for Raspberry PI finished
Update:
I´ve compiled the latest version of libcec and it´s working with the xbmc release.
I will now prepare the .deb package for the download. As usual i will provide a complete raspbian image including xbmc.
The next step is to provide a repository for the xbmc package to make the installation process much easier.
Original:
As i promised, i have continued compiling xbmc for the raspberry pi. Im glad to tell you, that i was able to compile the new xbmc (frodo) version for the rpi.
Im now testing this build and if all goes well, i will upload this package so that you can install and enjoy it.
The first test shows, that the official xbmc-remote for android is not able to connect to the xbmc.
I have installed an app called yatse Widget instead. This app is much better and is working with the current xbmc version.
It can also stream videos from youtube to the xbmc.
A main feature in my old release was CEC. A library which allows to take control over the xbmc via a normal remote control with the help of hdmi. This feature isn´t working at the moment. Maybe it is only a problem with the installed libcec library.
Tomorrow i will provide some further information on this.
Greetings
